??????We had a lovely time. We took the two girls and they loved the resort. They went to the beach every day to top up their tans and met up with us in the evening at feeding time! The apartment was perfect and very reasonably priced - just what we needed.
Easy Jet fights were really impressive. Taxi driver was waiting at the airport. Yiannis was waiting to greet us at the apartment. He is so lovely and kept giving us fruit.........
We did walks 1, 3, 4, 5 - they were all clear a well described. We got tired but not lost! Loved the Fisherman's Cabin and Afionas and managed to get to those two little beaches - amazing. We walked to Jimmy's in Pagi. Everyone was so friendly.
I would like to think that we would return some day and would definitely recommend Yiannis Studios and Agios Georgios

??????We enjoyed our stay and we appreciated Yianni's apartments. It is a good place very quiet. We enjoyed the beach, the sea and the fresh fish in a taverna. The weather was very good and we are thinking to go back next year perhaps

??????Myself and my partner stayed at Yiannis's apartments during the first 2 weeks of September 2013.? We had booked a studio but when we arrived, Yiannis was there to greet us, and said he had upgraded us to one of the apartments, which happened to be free during the time of our stay.? So we ended up with a 2 bed apartment on the first floor, with balconies, for only 30 euros per night, which is a bargain!? The apartment itself was clean and had everything you might need, including a coffee maker.? Yiannis was warm and charming, and gave us bags of tomatoes, figs and grapes from his lovely garden.? Eleni cleaned the apartment and changed the bed linen and towels 4 times during the 2 weeks.? She also left fresh flowers - even on our pillows, which was lovely. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the apartments.? It takes 15 minutes to walk to the beach, so it is away from the rest of the resort and offers a change from the beach atmosphere.? There were often buzzards flying overhead, so that was an extra treat on the walk to the beach in the morning.
As for the resort itself, the beach is plenty big enough to give everyone room without being right next to each other.? We visited Arillas and Agios Stefanos, and noticed that people were much closer together on those beaches.? Agios Georgios beach is long, and there are several different lounger/parasol hirers along the length of it.? Prices varied from 5 to 10 euros, so definitely worth asking and trying different ones - the most expensive are not necessarily the best!? And of course, there is plenty of room to just take your own towel and parasol and pick your own spot!? There are lots of cafes along the beach road, so again plenty to choose from.? The atmosphere in the cafes does change - some are more formal and others more quirky, but by and large the menu is the same. I would recommend taking the green bus to Corfu Town for the day - it is a scenic drive, the drivers are friendly and it was a nice day out - and the fare is very cheap. If you are looking for a quiet beach resort where you can relax in the (very hot in september!) sun and swim every day, then Agios Georgios is ideal.? It feels very friendly and safe, and the people that run cafes, shops and accommodation are welcoming and helpful.? |

??????Yannis and Eleni were very nice and the apartment great. Fresh figs from the garden for breakfast. We did not want to be sealed in with air-con so we asked for a fan which we kind of shared. As they have mosi netting at the windows fans are nicer, two would have been perfect. We took a mosi net for our daughters bed as she gets bitten a lot. She needed this. It was a very easy and relaxing holiday

??????Paradise is my word for Agios Georgios! Such a little haven of clean beach, good food and sun! ? We loved the apartments and I especially liked being in such a green space and seeing the stars from the balcony. We went to Greek dancing night at local hotel which was fun.

??????We had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed ourselves. The apartment was just right and Eleni and Yiannis are very generous and friendly. Being able to sit in their garden is a treat, alongside picking figs from the tree, the freshest cucumbers and lemons from the garden ever and watching geckos scurry about.
I think Yiannis and Eleni keep the apartments in beautiful condition and to meet them and talk to them rather than have a faceless corporate holiday apartment made it for us. The boys loved the sea and snorkelling, geckos in the garden and had been requesting to visit Corfu since reading My family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell which we read again whilst there - and although we didn't see loads of wildlife we saw enough to keep them happy. I'd like to go earlier in the season to be able to do longer walks without the heat. |
James -- July 2013 UK
??????We had an absolutely amazing holiday. The apartment was perfect and Yiannis and Eleni couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming (especially when we got lost between Pagi and Agios Georgios on arrival)........ It was well worth getting off the main tourist circuit in Corfu.? |
Jana -- June 2013 Prague
??????...... it was so nice. And the studios so cosy and the garden really beautiful. We enjoyed it very much. The weather was not hot - maximally 25 - and the sea temperature quite low (19) but we were hiking every day and sitting on the seaside, listening to a changeable song of the sea. And the new colours, sweet smell, unknown sounds, ...Yoghurts, butter, goat?s cheeses and the fresh fruit from Yannis?garden... Everything made us happy. Thanks! Unfortunately we didn?t meet Eleni for the whole week, but Jannis was very thoughtful, hospitable and at the same time tactful. |
Philip -- Sep 2012 UK
??????...... we have a marvellous week in Corfu. Yannis and his wife were most helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the island -managed to clock up a few miles exploring as well. |
Uta and Sandro -- May 2012 Berlin
??????Me and my boyfriend booked our holiday stay at Corfu at "Yiannis' Studios". We were sleeping in a nice little studio which has been cleaned by Eleni every three days. We always have got new towels and beddings as well as fresh flowers. This studio was very clean and almost like it was made for us. :) Therefore we felt very, very well there. Yiannis and Eleni are loveable and heartwarming people who are caring about their guests every time. They were always asking for our wishes and needs and were doing their best to fulfill them. We wanted for nothing... But the most beautiful thing at "Yiannis' Apartments" has been his wonderful garden which has been balm for the soul. We had hundreds of blooming flowers, huge palm trees, orange trees, figs and grapes and everything you can imagine. Therefore we have always been very happy to return to our wonderful accommodation after a long straining walking day trip over the island. There we could charge our batteries... :) This holiday has been the best two weeks we have had in the last nine years and we will feed on this a very, very long time...! We are very glad to have met these lovely people because they have made our stay very wonderful and special. We just loved this beautiful garden with its flowers and fruits and Yiannis' bees which he is so proud of... Yiannis and Eleni have been that kind and friendly to us. We thank them for everything they have done for us and we are still missing them in our hectic and nervous working life in the major city of Berlin. |
Linda -- Sep 2011 UK
??????We had an absolutely amazing time. Yiannis and Eleni could not have been kinder or more welcoming - such lovely, lovely people. The apartment was just lovely and the gardens so beautiful - we could not have been happier with any accommodation. Agios Georgios was lovely and all of your recommendations were perfect. |
Sarah -- Aug 2011 Paris
??????We had a very nice time in Corfu, and Yiannis and Eleni were absolutely lovely and very kind to us! If you speak to them again soon, then please pass on our best wishes to them? |
Chiara -- Aug 2011 Italy
??????Yes, we're very happy to spend our holiday to Agios Georgios and to Yannis's apartments. We were good surprised for the hospitality and spontaneity of people. The village too is fantastic...Angelo's taverna, the seaside, the peace, the nature. We spoke with our friends about Agios Georgios and we hope to do good advertising. I hope that Greece will overcome soon the crisis. A big hug to Yannis? |
Fiona -- Jun 2011 UK
??????We had a fantastic, relaxing time in Yiannis's spotless apartment. Yiannis and Eleni could not have been more helpful, plying us with lemons from the orchard, cucumbers and figs. They were very friendly without being intrusive and we looked forward to seeing Yiannis every night when we returned from the beach. We had fresh flowers in the apartment, then flowers on our pillows when unexpectedly Eleni changed our sheets, cleaned floors etc mid week----the place was spotless. I would thoroughly recommend Yiannis place to anyone wanting a chilled, relaxed break. |
Rob Dilks -- Jun 2010 UK
??????We stayed in a studio in Yiannis' apartments in late May 2010.We had already been to Agios Georgios a couple of times and loved the place and it's surroundings. The web site cannot fully convey the peace and quiet of the studios, nor the attactiveness of the garden, and this despite them being only 10 minutes away from the supermarket, tavernas and a superb long beach. The beach has an excellent water sports facility, to either use watch.
Yiannis and Eleni are unobtrusive but charming and very generous hosts. They organised our transfers to and from the airport. As to the language, Yiannis' command of English is good and he will readily correct your Greek, if you give it a try. The walks in the countryside are as easy or as hard as you want to make them, but always full of the best that nature can offer; flowers, lizards, birds and scenery. And at night there is a good range of tavernas offering a wide selection of Greek and international food. There's no 'englisshe' pub or union jack shorts within sight!
All in all for this pair of very active 60 year olds it was on of the very best holidays we have had !! |
Laura Vernier -- Sep 2009 Treviso, Italy

??????We had an absolutely fabulous time. ?The apartment and situation were fantastic and Yiannis and Eleni so welcoming and hospitable. Weather was good, gradually getting warmer as the holiday progressed. We enjoyed the beach and hired a boat one day and pottered about snorkeling from various beautiful spots in and around north west corfu - heaven!
So a really great holiday - we couldn't imagine (and certainly didn't see) any nicer apartments than Yiannis - which were a great find. |
Jan and Colin -- Aug 2008 Southampton
?????? We have to say we found Yiannis and Eleni very friendly, welcoming and helpful and we particularly enjoyed relaxing on the balcony and taking in the view. We found the apartment very spacious and clean and the location quiet.? It was good to feel free from all the anxieties at home.
Yiannis kindly arranged the taxis to and from the apartment and also the car hire which ensured everything ran smoothly....... If we hear of anyone wanting a break in Corfu we would be happy to suggest Yiannis obviously. |
Frith -- May 2008 London
??????We loved the flat and garden, don't they keep it beautifully? Yiannis and Eleni were so friendly and welcoming - specially Eleni, with her big hugs and lovely flowers.
? Had beautiful weather and explored all over the place, including lovely boat trips and swimming, truly a holiday to remember. |
John and Pat -- Late Sep 2007 Midlands
??????We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days staying at Yiannis. Sitting reading on the balcony with the lovely gardens around was a wonderful way to relax from problems at home, even after dark by the light of a citronella candle just listening to distant sounds. Yiannis and Eleni keep the rooms and surroundings very clean and ensure you have a good holiday.

??????I can not say enough good words about Yiannis Apartments. Absolutely the best vacation I and my wife have ever had. The apartment is what was shown on the web page "plus". The garden around the building was beautiful with so many different types of fruit trees and flowers. A virtual paradise. Great place to relax and read as well as meet socially with the other people staying there. As for Yiannis and Elena they are a charming couple and made our stay there unique. The apartments were very clean and cared for. As hosts Yiannis and Elena made sure that we enjoyed ourselves and introduced us to the other guest. I would highly recommend this place to all families and couples. I certainly would come back. We would be happy to be a reference if needed.

?????Yiannis place was absolutely fantastic for my family. The quality and standard of the accommodation is very high. The gardens are a lovely green oasis and provided a great place for my boys to go on safari for lizards, geckos and other insects whilst keeping in the shade. Yiannis and his wife were perfect hosts and most helpful and accommodating. Yianni also had the taxis organized and the transfers to an from the airport went perfectly with no hanging around and no hassle.
I would say this was one of our best holidays we have had for a long time.

Gill -- July 2007 Norfolk
????? We had a great time. The studio was larger than expected and the garden was lovely. The trek to and from the beach was a little tedious but we alternated that with spending days at the swimming Pool at the hotel which we were allowed to do. It was extremely hot and not having airconditioning was a minus (studios do not have air-conditioning).
Yiannis and Eleni were very hospitable and friendly. I think we all agree that we will definitely return to A.G. in the future!
